About
After 30 wonderful years of ownership, Brad has decided to retire! We're so happy for him and fortunate to still see him often—he’s a true treasure of knowledge. In November 2024, we took over the business. As locals, we’re thrilled to continue the tradition of serving delicious real ice cream. With our experience running several businesses, we’re excited to take on this new venture and learn. Same store, same service and same traditions.
Right now, we are learning the ropes of owning a car wash, laundromat, and ice cream shop. We’re sure there will be some changes along the way, but for now, we’re focused on figuring things out staying with what worked. Not limited to the two wonderful ladies that have helped Brad throughout the years.
We’re eager to meet everyone and welcome any feedback! Don’t hesitate to reach out as we move forward! We will be updating frequently.
Ice Cream
Brad dedicated years to perfecting everything from the soft serve ice cream to the toppings, thoughtfully considering how they blend to create the ultimate taste. He kept his recipes and special ingredients in his mind, constantly tweaking and experimenting with new ideas. He once told us that the peanut bomb was initially just a test, but it’s since become a menu favorite, with thousands sold. Now, we have those recipes and Brad’s guidance on how ‘ice cream season’ truly works.
Community
We are proud members of this community, and this ice cream shop is a beloved staple. Brad always described it as a place where people come for smiles. When we learned that the shop is closed on the Fourth of July, Jake and I initially thought it was a missed opportunity. However, we soon saw the brilliance in Brad's reasoning. He explained that the parking lot serves as a hub for parade preparations and a gathering spot for the community. For Brad, his employees, and the local community, celebrating together was far more important than staying open to serve ice cream.
Now, we fully understand this tradition, and just like Brad, the shop will be closed on the Fourth of July to honor that spirit!
